    These brushes are made for cleaning box ends and full length ID cleaning.  For box end cleaning the outside brush diameter should be at or just over the OD of the pipe joint.  Full length ID cleaning requires the determination of the pipe ID.  A double stem/double spiral brush cannot function if the dimater of the brush is larger than the ID of the pipe.  The brush may become stuck in the joint of pipe and the stem may twist off.
